Ragdollens varianter & farver
Ragdollen er en masket kat. Det betyder, at deres pigmenter er temperaturfølsomme, og udvikles mest, hvor det er koldt på kroppen, dvs ansigt, ører, poter, ben og hale. Disse er kendt som points. En masket kat har altid blå øjne,
Ragdollen er godkendt i 20 forskellige masker og farver.
De oprindelige farver, som ragdollen blev godkendt i var: Brun, Blå, Chokolade & Lilla. Og i dag er brun & blå de mest udbredte.
I 2005 blev det røde gen godkendt. Samme år blev tabby også godkendt.
Ragdollen er en af de få katte, hvor den hvide plet er godkendt sammen med masken.
Der findes tre forskellige mønstre:
Colorpoint : Masket kat uden hvidt i ansigtet. Katten har mørke farvede ører, fødder, ben, hale og ansigt
Bicolor : Masket kat med et omvendt "V" i panden. Bryst, mave og helst alle ben skal være hvide. Hvide pletter på ryggen kan forkomme.
Mitted : Fødderne for og bag skal være hvide. Hagen skal være hvid med en stribe nedover brystet og maven til kønsdelene. Hvide pletter kan forkomme.
